In the crystal, N-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds link the N,N-di-methyl-anilinium cations and both Br(-) anions and [SnBr6](2-) dianions into a layered arrangement parallel to (001).

Strong N-H⋯Br and N-H⋯(Br,Br) hydrogen bonding contributes to the stability of the crystal structure and links the cations and anions into a three-dimensional network.
